Patch 3.35, stuff, stuff and more stuff...

So yes... it's been a while and I am unashamedly unapologetic about it mainly because I'm so seriously busy these days.  Plus, I find I'm usually in a foul mood afterwards whenever I get a respite... and I hate to project negativity of any sort.   Thus, the drought.

That said, patch 3.35 finally releases on Tuesday, July 19th 2016 and if you all remember, Yoshi had said there would be certain unique features on how players would progress through it...

In addition, I have been wondering if we will also get these weapons for glamourizations...

Moving along, I think it's worthy enough to note that a player has already obtained the Mentor's Unicorn-Pegasus mount (Source)...

Speaking of mentors, I firmly believe (after some observation) that the mentor system is inherently flawed.  Yeah... flawed.  Big time.   It has allowed unnecessary bullying and online douchery to fester in the game.  I particularly see this increasing at an appalling rate in almost all the duty finders now.  If anything, it seems to have bred even more ingrates in the game (ungrateful bastards who have no idea of what it means to give back to the newer players in the community).

I'd say one solution to this mess would be to create a voting option that counts towards the acquisition of the mentor mount.

  • The voting option will be like a "coin" (similar to the reputation coins).
  • Players are given a set of one "coin" for the four-person party dungeons and two coins for the larger eight-person dungeons (including the 24-man raids).
  • This way, players can fairly give coins to those mentors who have been exceptionally helpful.

Still on the subject of annoying mentors who have no regard for upholding their lofty positions within the community, I've been thinking of making a suggestion for the Devs to add a "Mute /tells" option in the game.  It will shut up annoying Mentors and RMTs alike.

Not sure if it will be very effective and there are various variables to consider; nonetheless, it is just a thought.

Another suggestion is that of new ideas of armours or gears that can be obtained as veteran rewards:

From Final Fantasy XI, the armour of Prince Kam'lanaut, one of the two surviving Zilart sibling princes (I always liked this)...

Then the gear of our wise old man Gilgamesh, the leader of the Pirates...

And of course, the AF gear for the Aht Urhgan military, the AFs for Blue Mage, Puppeteer, Dancer and Corsair (which I hope will be how the Musketeer job class will look like when and IF the Devs on FFXIV will ever add it).  Meh, I'm doubtful on that especially since we already have Machinist...

Young version of Lord Excenmille, General of the Dragoon forces on San d'Oria...

Finally, if the SquareEnix Devs decide to add other items outside the Final Fantasy games, I always thought Aslan's armour from the "Blood of Bahamut" game was quite spiffy (they better include that Greatsword)...

And on a side note, I think I'm going to go ahead and pre-register for the new Mobius Final Fantasy.   For those of you who are baffled and wondering what I'm on about, the announcement trailer is below...
