FINAL FANTASY XIV Patch 6.5 - Growing Light Trailer!

Yes indeed ladies and gentlemen-- spiffy, innit?

Phenomenally spiffy, yes?

I already knew Yoshi-P and the Devs won't disappoint-- and thank you so very much to every one at Square Enix FFXIV Creative Business Unit III.  Well done-- absolutely brilliant job and I thoroughly appreciate the hard work!

And while we are all on the subject of those extremely impatient, immature players exhibiting "disappointments with FFXIV because they are bored", I want to yet again underline what I've been saying on social media and on the official FFXIV forums:  if you are still feeling "bored, disappointed or dissatisfied" with the current direction of the game, it's quite simple-- leave the game alone for SEVERAL months and if you still don't like it when you come back,  just quit.  Enough said.

After all, the Chinese and South Korean audiences are definitely not complaining and as an SE shareholder myself, their pleased silence is absolute beautiful music to my ears.  I have to keep reminding people over and over-- if not for the pandemic WE WOULD HAVE RECEIVED 7.0 THIS SUMMER and all these ungrateful impatient players wouldn't have been so "bored" --  it never ceases to fascinate me how easily people continue to forget the deep impact of 2020 and how hard the Dev team continued to pour all their energy into the game even when faced with so many constraints.   These silly complaining players just cant sit in their basements for 14-16 hours a day rushing quickly through content and THEN turn around complaining about boredom when there is nothing left to achieve in the game.    There are ALWAY numerous things to do in the game-- ALWAYS.

Endwalker 6.0 itself was undoubtedly phenomenal and players have already forgotten how much they wept, cried, cheered and felt satisfied with the "ending" of that story arc.  Hence, psychologically the EW expansion was "done" in players' minds and everything else from 6.XX onwards has just been "boring" filler until we get Dawntrail.  I've been playing this game on and off for 13 years now (since August 2010 during 1.0 beta) -- I've also actually owned Square Enix shares for over a decade -- and as a Legacy player I can tell you I still love the game DEEPLY because I have seen how incredibly far it has come-- and this expansion has let me really take my time with a lot of elements.

A solid 90% of those players complaining today were not around when we didn't even have chocobos or mounts, we didn't even have a markerboard, we had the annoying stamina limit issues, and we only had about five sets of greenish-brown/blue gear to obtain.   The fact that so many newer players today continue to give their entitled reactions to the game --  WITHOUT so much as making even a single solid suggestion on how to further add content -- clearly sustains the conclusion that they are still very passionate about it.  Like I said-- if you don't like the game anymore, just drop and unsubscribe-- It really is that very simple-- the game will still thrive regardless because Yoshi and Soken have yet to disappoint me.

A few old-timer FFXIV streamers have concisely underlined precisely what we FFXIV vets have been saying for YEARS!   I get amused when certain YouTubers keep yapping rubbish that FFXIV is now flopped -- and it's disgusting watching them switching their loyalties (especially those WoW / Blizzard refugees) just because THEY are bored and burnt out from doing ONLY end game content.  Dawntrail will be a phenomenal success because for 12 years straight, Yoshi-P and Soken have never disappointed me both as a Legacy player and as an SE shareholder-- EVERY suggestion I have given the Devs since Beta of 1.0 was eventually implemented.    I repeat, EVERY SINGLE ONE eventually made itself into the game and I always love that the Devs continue to listen to constructive criticism.

Also as I predicted several times, patch 6.5 (being released on October 3rd, 2023) will underline the tremendous hard work that the Dev team have been putting towards this game on a level not ever seen by any other global MMO.   And heck, once the xbox players fully join up, watch us reach at LEAST 40 million+ subscribers.   Yes the game is currently in a bit of a lull but this happens at the tail end of EVERY expansion-- if you're bored, go play something else and come back later-- Simple, end of story and stop being an annoying immature drama soppy choom about quitting the game.

(Pauses to take a deep calming breath)--

Yeah, I had to get that off my chest because it had been frustrating me how much these impertinent players had been disrespecting the Devs and FFXIV.  Anyways, onwards to more cheerful elements-- see below for summary images of the livestream including some of the spiffy new gear coming from the new 24-man raid in Thalaia, Housing, PvP, and Island Santuary...
