Live Letter from the Producer VIII!

Yes indeed, great ladies and gentlemen... the legendary Yoshi just finished the eighth Live letter online and it came with a slew of new images and information.   The popular voice actress Rie Tanaka (who does the Japanese voice for the Gridanian leader Kan-E-Senna and the primal Garuda)  also made an appearance and was gracious enough to ask some of the interesting questions during the broadcast.

Bayohne was also awesome in being swift to update the Dev blog with images... (HERE)

By the way, Bayohne had already made a previous update the day before (HERE) with a spiffy wonderful image of the great Soken in Summoner "gear"...

In a crunch, here are the dates you want to know:
  • Open beta begins on August 16th, 2013 for players who participated in phase 3 while new players will begin  on August  17th, 2013
  • The Open beta runs until August 19th, 2013 and Early Access begins on August 24th, 2013
  • Full Launch is confirmed for August 27th, 2013
Wicked, innit?  By the way, Reinhardt from the Lodestone forums has again been excellently generous in making a subtitled version of the letter in case you missed it; while Zam has a concise written summary (HERE).  Huge applause  as well to the great and succinct You Tube summaries made by Nicola (HERE) and to Mr. Happy as well (HERE).  Finally, the ever vigilant Giuseppe on the Dualshockers site was again swift in capturing several screenshots from the Live letter (HERE)

Square Enix also updated their you tube channel with an "S" version of the Eorzea 2013 Collection which show cases mainly the in-game monsters...

One of the other aspects of the broadcast that excited me was the PvP area that was briefly shown (and of course, it is located in the region our beloved Limsa-- actually just off the coast around Moraby Bay in the La Noscea area).  And by all means, if you haven't already don't forget to Pre-Order your copy og FFXIV: ARR now! on the official page.

However, just beware that getting a pre-order of the Collectors Edition at amazon already sold out since last month, so may want to order directly from the SE store to try getting your hands on a copy.   This is what is included:

Absolutely spectacular ehhh?  And it's a LOT better than what we got for the FFXIV 1.0 Collectors Edition back in September 2010...

Yes indeed.  Anyway, as always everyone, please remember that all the official videos and images from SE were used here strictly for fan purposes; and all the product, system names and/or company logos remain the registered trademarks of Square Enix.  Copyright (C) 2010-2013 SQUARE ENIX CO.
