Still here mate? Very well. For those of you who are up to speed and completed the main storyline up to patch 5.1-- who do you guys reckon is Lord Nerva?
I'm still in the camp-- for the last six years and counting-- that supports the speculation that the Garlean empire will eventually get it's own "Larsa-like" charcater. This is a nod to Larsa, the Emperor's fourth son in Final Fantasy XII and the premise is that the Garleans would eventually have a member of the Imperial royal family who is opposed to the empire's current expansionist agenda.
Thus, we circle back to the question afore mentioned-- who is Lord Nerva?
I reckon he is the Larsa-like charcater we have been looking for-- yes indeed, a possible younger brother to our wonderfully psychotic Prince Zenos-- which will essentially make him Nerva Yae Galvus per naming conventions of "Yae" for the heirs in line for the throne from the imperial family of Garlemald.
Or at the very least, he's likely a close relative. Till date, I'm still a massive fan of this insane House Galvus family, especially their illustrious progenitor (you guys know who he is) and I'd like to think that this Lord Nerva-- or shall I say "Prince Nerva Yae Galvus" being a potentially "sane" scion of the family creates a perfect vein of irony.
For now, due to a lack of any direct official information regarding Varis' other purported children, I'm just going to use "Larsa" -- or "Larsa Wir Galvus" (I made a goof there -- should have been Larsa Yae Galvus) as a placeholder name for the sketches I created back in late 2018 prior to the Fan fest that unleashed information on Shadowbringers (see below):
