Yes indeed, ladies and gentlemen... Bayohne has again unleashed some news on the Dev blog, using the new terminology for the Summons... "Egi". Personally, I like the current smaller sizes of the summons or "Egi"... can you imagine several summoner players using original sized Ifrits all trying to fit on your monitor screen? That would be highly irritating. Yep.
Perhaps we may be given the option to make them gradually "upgrade" their sizes and/or abilities in three or four stages (kinda reminds me of the dynamics of the PS2 game "Chaos Legion"). Anyway, I'm really liking the emerald look of the Garuda-Egi...
If I remember correctly, Yoshi-P already explained that the term was derived from the "Garuda-Egi" mob from FFXII. It was a hunt mark found outside the Bur-Omisace mountains... kinda remember that part of the game well because it was the location where one of the Judges made an exhibition of the Archardian Empire's might. Yep, that truly was one of the turning points in the game; and as the bad boy Vayne had rightly declared shortly afterwards... "And so, House Solidor lives on".
Well... enough rambling and reminiscing... because Bayohne also posted up some spiffy pics of some advertising poster material for FFXIV:ARR (likely in some popular shopping malls in Tokyo?). And I gotta say... I really do want one of those...
Looks sweet, ehhhh?
