Indeed gentlemen and ladies -- patch 7.56 arrived a couple days ago with the release of the continuation of the MSQ and the long awaited Beastmaster limited job class.
The concept of the job class is intriguingly peculiar and interesting -- however, the implementation is a slew of absolutely confusing complicated mess. After dutifully leveling the job to level 50, testing out all sorts of battle mechanics and viability of using the various pets, here is my verdict: What a beutiful absurd mess.
Some of the controls are all over the place and the RNG for some of the captures are insanely absurd -- for instance, my score line for capturing the Zu mob in Pharos is currently 0 - 15. Many other players will tell of their horror stories of trying to get other mobs like the Chimera.
And all those FFXIV influencers yapping online with their guides on the "Crucible of the Unbroken" should hold their horses and cease being all cavalier as if its an easy event to accomplish -- in my authentic no-holds barred opinion, that is absolute chicanery and false pretense -- if I didn't know any better, I would speculatively wager that all those lads had early access to the job and have had WEEKS to nail down the truly annoying specifics of this job class.
Yes indeed -- I said it.
Meh.
I'll return to finishing this blog post another time -- I'm too irritated with the game at the game to bother expressing the rest of my gripes with this convoluted mess.
